How do I book a taxi with Day Tours Manali?

You can book a taxi by calling us at +91 8850267637, sending a WhatsApp message, or emailing us. Provide your pickup location, drop-off destination, date, time, and number of passengers. We'll confirm availability and send you vehicle and driver details.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance, especially during peak tourist season (April-June, September-October). For last-minute bookings within 6 hours, we'll do our best but availability cannot be guaranteed. Multi-day tours like Leh Ladakh should be booked 7-10 days in advance.

Can I modify my booking after confirmation?

Yes, you can modify your booking by contacting us at least 6 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Changes to date, time, pickup location, or vehicle type are subject to availability. Major route changes may require fare adjustments.

Do you provide 24/7 booking service?

Yes! Our booking and customer support team is available 24/7. You can call or WhatsApp us anytime for bookings, inquiries, or emergencies. We're always ready to serve you, day or night.

Will I receive a booking confirmation?

Absolutely. Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation message via WhatsApp or SMS containing vehicle details (model, color, number plate), driver name, driver contact number, and pickup time. A booking is only final after you receive this confirmation.

Can I book a taxi for someone else?

Yes, you can book a taxi for family members or friends. Just provide their name, contact number, and pickup details when booking. Make sure they're aware of the booking and have the confirmation details.

Payment & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), bank transfer, and credit/debit cards. For local trips, payment can be made after trip completion. For outstation and multi-day tours, we require advance payment (30-50% depending on service).

Are there any hidden charges?

No hidden charges! Our quoted price includes vehicle cost, driver charges, and fuel for agreed distance/hours. Additional charges that apply separately include: toll fees, parking charges, state entry permits, night charges (10 PM - 6 AM), and extra kilometers/hours beyond the agreed package.

Do I need to pay an advance?

For local sightseeing, advance payment is not required. For outstation trips, 30% advance payment is required. For multi-day tours (Leh Ladakh, Spiti), 50% advance is needed to confirm booking. Balance is payable at trip completion.

How is the fare calculated?

Local sightseeing is charged per day (8-10 hours, 80-100 km). Outstation trips are charged per kilometer with minimum distance requirements. Multi-day packages include per-day charges plus accommodation for driver. All prices are transparent and communicated upfront.

Do prices change during peak season?

Yes, prices may be 10-20% higher during peak tourist season (April-June, September-October) due to high demand. We always inform you of applicable rates at the time of booking. Early booking helps secure better rates.

Cancellation & Refunds

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation 24+ hours before pickup: Full refund. Cancellation 12-24 hours before: 50% refund. Cancellation less than 12 hours before: No refund. No-show: Full fare charged. Force majeure events (natural disasters, road closures): Full refund provided.

How long does it take to process a refund?

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method. For UPI/bank transfers, refunds may reflect within 2-3 business days. You'll receive a confirmation once the refund is initiated.

What if weather conditions prevent my trip?

For trips like Rohtang Pass, if roads are officially closed due to weather or government orders, we provide full refund or reschedule at no extra charge. We monitor weather conditions and inform you in advance about any potential issues.

Can I get a partial refund if I end the trip early?

If you terminate the trip midway for personal reasons, the full fare remains payable with no partial refund. However, if the trip cannot continue due to vehicle breakdown or driver issues from our end, you'll receive a full refund or alternative arrangement.

What types of vehicles do you offer?

We offer Sedans (4 passengers), SUVs/Innova (6-7 passengers), 4x4 Gypsy (6 passengers for off-road), and Tempo Traveller (12-14 passengers). All vehicles are well-maintained, insured, and equipped with AC.

Are your drivers experienced?

Absolutely! All our drivers have 10+ years of mountain driving experience. They are licensed, verified, trained in customer service, and know Manali roads intimately. They're also knowledgeable about local attractions and can serve as informal guides.

Are vehicles regularly maintained?

Yes, every vehicle undergoes scheduled servicing every 5,000 km. Pre-trip safety checks are conducted for every journey. All vehicles are comprehensively insured and equipped with first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency tools.

Can I request a specific vehicle model?

While we strive to provide your preferred vehicle, we cannot guarantee a specific model. We'll provide the vehicle category you book (sedan, SUV, etc.). If the exact vehicle is unavailable, we'll provide a similar or higher category at the same price.

Is smoking allowed in vehicles?

No, smoking is strictly prohibited inside all vehicles. We maintain clean, smoke-free environments for all passengers. Drivers can make stops upon request if you need a break.

Is it safe to travel to Rohtang Pass?

Yes, it's safe when proper precautions are taken. Our experienced drivers know the route well. However, weather conditions can change rapidly. We monitor forecasts and advise accordingly. Government permits are required, which we can arrange. Road may close due to snow or landslides.

What should I carry for a Leh Ladakh trip?

Essential items: Valid ID proof, warm clothing (layers), sunscreen, sunglasses, personal medicines, altitude sickness medication (consult doctor), water bottles, snacks, cash (limited ATMs), power bank, and camera. We provide a detailed packing list upon booking.

Are there any age restrictions for mountain trips?

There are no strict age limits. However, for high-altitude trips like Leh Ladakh, we recommend consulting a doctor if you're elderly, have heart conditions, or respiratory issues. Children and pregnant women should also seek medical advice before undertaking high-altitude journeys.

What happens if there's a breakdown during the trip?

In the unlikely event of a breakdown, our driver will attempt immediate repairs. If not possible, we'll arrange a replacement vehicle at the earliest. For remote locations, this may take time. We prioritize your safety and will make all necessary arrangements at no additional cost to you.

Do you provide insurance coverage?

All our vehicles carry comprehensive insurance as per Indian Motor Vehicle Act. Passenger insurance is included. However, we recommend travelers have their own travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.

How many passengers can fit in each vehicle type?

Sedan: 4 passengers + 3-4 luggage bags. SUV/Innova: 6-7 passengers + 6-7 bags. 4x4 Gypsy: 6 passengers (limited luggage space). Tempo Traveller: 12-14 passengers with overhead luggage racks and rear luggage compartment.

Can I make stops during the journey?

Yes! You can request stops for meals, restrooms, photos, or sightseeing. Our drivers are flexible and accommodate reasonable requests. For sightseeing packages, stops at popular viewpoints are included. Extra stops beyond the itinerary are usually not a problem.

Do drivers speak English?

Most of our drivers speak basic to conversational English, along with Hindi. They can communicate effectively for all travel-related matters. If you require a driver fluent in a specific language, please mention this when booking and we'll try our best to accommodate.

Is WiFi available in vehicles?

WiFi is not available in vehicles. However, most areas in and around Manali have decent mobile network coverage (BSNL, Jio, Airtel work best). For remote areas like Leh or Spiti, connectivity can be limited or unavailable.
